Ms. Anu Peshawaria is an internationally recognized professional attorney devoted to advocacy and protection of legal rights on a global scale. Apart from being an avid social activist for immigration, legal and human rights, Ms. Anu is also a world class athlete. She is a recipient of numerous prestigious awards for her exemplary legal and athletic abilities as well as for her endless commitment to the human and legal rights of immigrants.
Since childhood, Anu’s tireless efforts in inspiring and empowering girls and women to develop their minds and bodies have resulted in cultivation of self-awareness, confidence and independence among the women. In order to instill such qualities in women, Ms. Anu started off by honing her own athletic skills to achieve national and international recognition in the field of tennis. As such, she has conquered the appreciation of being a role model, all over the world. Hence, she has set an example for all the women and this has helped them learn strategies, to protect their own human rights as well as the importance of holding an individual identity.
Ms. Anu’s legal career started with an intention of providing reasonable or pro bono services to the less fortunate sections of the society. For over 25 years, Ms. Anu has energetically planned action initiatives, launched an assortment of NGO’s and has time and again extended her services to help the destitute and subjugated people, realizing the essence of human rights in various countries.
Ms. Anu’s selfless approach and powerful virtues have provided relief to hundreds of people to get over their monetary pressures by procuring legal advice.

Ms. Anu has enjoyed a distinguished career as a World class tennis player from 1974 to 1989.

- 1978 - National Women’s Tennis Champion, India.
- 1979 - Represented India in Junior Wimbledon.
- 1979 - Represented India and reached the finale in World University Games, Mexico.
- 1981- National Women’s Tennis Champion, India.
- 1981- 1982 - Winner of Quebac State Tournament in Canada.
- 1982 - Bronze medal in IX Asian Games.
Anu’s Family
Ms. Anu’s father Prakash, was a sensitive young man who ran his family business. He got married to Prem Lata nee Janak Arora who too, was an excellent student of her time. Their four daughters—Shashi, Kiran, Reeta and Anu turned out to write their own destinies. Shashi has moved in the field of philosophy and art, Kiran in uniformed services, Reeta in the field of psychology and Anu pursued law.
Anu’s elder sister Kiran has played the role of a mother as well as a mentor. Presently residing in Fremont, CA, Anu is practicing Immigration Law with her son Aditya, 21 years old who works with her.
