The United States deports foreign nationals if found to violate any of the immigration laws of the country. The deportation process, aimed at safeguarding the country and its citizens, involves removing persons from the United States and returning them to their country of origin. The deportation cases are heard by any of the Immigration Courts in the country, and the removal order is executed by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
In the case when an individual unexpectedly receives an order for deportation, the first and the foremost thing the person should do is to consult with a qualified and reputed immigration lawyer. In cases where the person is not in a position to consult a lawyer due to being held in a detention facility (or other), then it is the responsibility of his/her family to seek immediate legal help.
